PR & Communications Manager

BASED LONDON (remote working initially)

Fantastic opportunity to join our client a successful and fast growing FTSE listed business, who is looking for a PR & Communications Manager to join the Corporate Communications team

Reporting into the Communications Director, this will be a broad and varied role, which will give you significant exposure across the business. You will work with the Communications Director developing the strategy as well as delivery across PR, content creation and digital communications.


  • Developing and executing media strategy across the group and specific business lines
  • Managing PR agencies across Continental Europe and the US
  • Acting as point of contact and advisor within the business on external issues regarding PR
  • Providing advice on media strategy on issues management
  • Supporting the business on group and business line corporate PR initiatives (e.g. full and half year results)
  • Developing effective journalist relationships
  • Proactively delivering targeted media relations to trade press and national newspaper business desk press contacts
  • Drafting press releases for news announcements
  • Handling press enquiries
  • Ensuring that the relevant business line teams, colleagues and management team have sight of media coverage and visibility of results achieved through regular reporting
  • Overseeing social media activity, across LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube
  • Working with the comms director and other colleagues to identify content creation opportunities across video, thought leadership articles, podcasts etc
  • Working with the digital agency to continually evolve and develop websites

Experience required

  • You'll need solid current/ recent experience in a PR role
  • Experience can come from an in-house PR role or PR/Comms agency
  • Experience liaising with journalists is key
  • Experience in FTSE 100 or 250 listed business is helpful but not essential
  • Some experience in managing content / thought leadership, articles is preferred but is not essential
  • Ideally you will have some experience managing digital communications eg.web content, social media content etc
  • Good writing skills important
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in financial services would be preferred but is not essential
