BASED CITY, LONDON (hybrid working)

£125-150k base + bonus+bens

Exciting new opportunity to join our client a leading and highly reputable global asset management firm. You will work closely with C-suite stakeholders and will be responsible for leading and driving the communications agenda for both internal and external communications channels across UK, European and US markets. You will be responsible for managing a small communications team based in London

  • Develop and implement a PR strategy to support the business strategy in UK, Europe and US
  • building strong relationships with senior business leaders
  • Develop plans to support media engagement on identified industry topics and themes, providing a platform for leaders and other spokespeople to articulate a position and view, supporting the development of the business and brand globally or in specific regions.
  • Ensure the communications function is set up to effectively handle proactive and reactive press engagement in key markets, cultivating good working relationships with the press either directly or through appointed agencies
  • Oversee spokesperson selection and approval process and manage the provision of media training
  • Contribute to the group-wide social media strategy
  • Appoint and manage external agencies to support business' media and communications requirements.
  • Review and measure agency relationships
  • Develop and implement a coordinated global internal communications strategy in conjunction with regional counterparts to support employee engagement
  • Manage and execute the internal communications program in the UK, Europe and US regions
  • Be a leading voice in designing and delivering communications for cultural, transaction and change communications initiatives
  • Provide a framework for internal communications, reviewing communications platforms and providing guidance for business areas to more effectively engage internally
  • Manage the planning and execution of issues and crisis communications plans
  • Lead and oversee team members, providing clear objectives and ongoing prioritisation

Experience required

  • Current/recent experience in a senior communications /leadership role in a global asset management or global financial services firm
  • Strong experience in media relations-driving proactive media coverage and profile raising
  • Experience leading on employee communications initiatives including around culture change
  • Able to act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing small to medium sized teams
