General Manager - Sales - Home Solutions & HVAC

My client is a household name and one of the biggest brands in ANZ and beyond.

They are looking to continue to build their capabilities in the Home Solutions and HVAC sectors in Australia and want to bring on board a highly experienced General Manager - Sales to launch a new division.

This is a very dynamic role, managing an existing HVAC team, setting up a new Home Solutions division and also getting out in front of clients and building the businesses.

The Role

  • Works closely with the Home Solutions team to build and develop the go to market strategy
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of Home Solutions Channel's strategy, ensuring alignment with global imperatives and growth aspirations.
  • Ensures the strategic plan is translated to the team for the identification of executable actions that deliver to the strategy, resulting in increased product market share and profitable growth.
  • Provides quality, hands on leadership, creating a thoughtful vision of what success looks like to engage the people in the channel to deliver the right work that will strengthen channel's performance.
  • Ensures appropriate stakeholder management approaches are taken with the channel to ensure highly effective cross-functional collaboration with global supporting functions.
  • Deeply understands the builder, reseller & retailer communities and environmental influences.
  • Identifies, cultivates and expands new business opportunities that endures a momentum of enthusiasm and pull by customers for the brand.

Ideal candidate

  • At least 5 years' experience in leading sales strategy creation and execution.
  • Proven success in translating sales strategies into executable plan within a sales focused consumer electronics organisation.
  • Previous experience in the HVAC industry
  • Proven experience of transforming and growing a sales organisation that increased market share & profitable growth.
  • Proven leadership experience in developing a sustained, high performing culture.
  • Position is suitable to an entrepreneurial individual who is flexible, innovative and has a strong bias for results and action
